AGSD Committees

While the elected AGSD  Board is ultimately responsible for the daily operations of the Association, the board delegates specific duties to committees that are either defined in bylaws or created by board. These committees are open to all AGSD members.  Should you be interested in volunteering for a committee, please  contact the AGSD by emailing  us at info@agsdus.org.

Conference Committee- Volunteers Needed ASAP

Helps plan the annual AGSD  Conference including deciding the location, dates, venue, agenda, menu, registration, audio/visual, photography, and fun activities.

Current members include Kim Burney, Katie Ward, Heather Edwards, Irene Helley, Brian Pawlik, and Andrew Liem.

Newsletter Committee- Volunteers Needed ASAP

Helps identify topics, write/edit articles, and publish the official newsletter.

Current members include Barbara Owens and Katie Ward.

Fundraising Committee- Volunteers Needed ASAP

Helps the organization contact potential sponsors for the conference and other AGSD activities.

Current members include Jason Cash, Dr. David Weinstein and Kim Burney

Historical Committee- Volunteers Needed ASAP

Helps preserve the history of the AGSD including past leadership, conferences and key accomplishments

Current members include Brian Pawlik, Jessica Knepler and Mary Carpenter.

Membership Management Committee

Assists the AGSD  Secretary and Board members with keeping track of AGSD members.

Current members include Irene Helley and Brian Pawlik 

Assists with website, social media, and email communications to members and the public.

Current members include Katie Ward, Irene Helley and Brian Pawlik 

Assists with ensuring prospective AGSD board members and officers meet the minimum qualifications to serve and any elections are free and fair.

No current members.  Will be appointed if elections are needed.

Finance Committee

Assists Treasurer and AGSD Board with investments and other finances as needed

Current members include Heather Edwards and Jason Cash.

Bylaws and SOP Committee

Assists AGSD Board with proposed Bylaws changes and standard operating procedures

Current members include Kim Burney and Becky Lichucki
