AGSD Conference

AGSD Patient/Family/Medical Conference

General Conference Information

The Association for Glycogen Storage Disease (AGSD) hosts an annual conference that brings together individuals affected by GSD, their families, and the medical professionals dedicated to their care and research. This event serves as a meaningful space for connection, education, and support.

Held in rotating locations across the country, the 1–2 day conference is designed to be accessible nationwide. Attendees enjoy shared meals, engaging presentations, and opportunities to meet others navigating life with GSD. Experts present on a wide range of topics—from the latest research and clinical trials to practical care strategies—offering valuable insights for both families and professionals.

One of the most cherished aspects of the conference is the sense of community it fosters. Children light up when they meet others who share their experience, and families often form lasting friendships. For many, it’s the first time they’ve connected with others who truly understand the challenges of living with a rare condition.

AGSD recognizes the isolating nature of a rare diagnosis. This annual gathering is a celebration of resilience, a chance to learn, and a powerful reminder that no one is alone on this journey.
